1. Download the PAVCL.ZIP file by double-clicking the icon shown below:









2. Copy the file to the Windows desktop .




3. Unzip the PAVCL.ZIP file to a folder in drive C: (hard disk) and assign a name to this directory. This directory can be called clvirus.



To create the clvirus folder follow the steps below:

• Open the Windows Explorer.




• Select the drive C:




• Place the mouse pointer on the right hand side of the window




• Press the right mouse button.




• Select the New option .




• Select the Folder optiton .





4. Restart the computer in MS-DOS mode. To do this, press the Start button and select the following options: Shut Down...- Restart in MS-DOS mode.




5. Once the system has been restarted, type CD.. and press Enter.




6. Type CD clvirus (if this is the name of the folder that you created previously) and press Enter.




7. Type PAVCL /ALL /AEX /CLV and press Enter.

Once the steps above have been carried out the scanning will start. During this process, the antivirus will detect the infected file (WSOCK32.DLL). When the antivirus has detected this file choose the Disinfect option. This way, your computer wil be completely disinfected .
